By using Resume Mentor ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Resume Mentor is an AI-powered tool that tailors your resume and generates a cover letter and study guide based on a job description you provide. The Service uses large language models to produce these documents and emails them to you.

3. Free Tier

The free tier allows a limited number of submissions per calendar month per email address. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Circumventing usage limits (e.g. by using multiple email addresses) is not permitted.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload files containing malware, malicious code, or content that violates applicable law.
  • Submit job descriptions or resume content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of your resume and any content you upload. By submitting content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process it solely for the purpose of generating your documents. We do not use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

Your uploaded files and generated documents are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers after 7 days. You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

6. AI-Generated Output

The documents generated by Resume Mentor are produced by AI and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing all output before submitting it to any employer. We make no guarantee that using the Service will result in job interviews or employment.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resume Mentor and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of employment opportunities, or reliance on AI-generated output.

9. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the applicable courts of competent jurisdiction.
